The city museum of local lore became a participant in the party project “Culture of the Small Motherland”. More than 2.7 million rubles were allocated from budgets of all levels for the purchase of new interactive equipment and display cases. Currently, as part of the celebration of the 80th anniversary of the liberation of Kuban from the Nazi invaders and the end of the Battle of the Caucasus, a new exhibition hall “In the Footsteps of Great Courage” has opened in the museum.
The new display cases show pre-war Kropotkin, the period of occupation and the population’s contribution to the Victory in the Great Patriotic War in chronological order. A striking innovation for the museum was the use of modern interactive equipment. The multifunctional educational complex included a virtual holographic promoter, an interactive kiosk and a screen.
“It is extremely important to preserve the history of the heroism of our ancestors in the fight against Nazism; on October 9 we will celebrate the 80th anniversary of the liberation of Kuban from the Nazi invaders. By accessing the interactive kiosk, visitors will learn about the events that took place in the city of Kropotkin and throughout the region during the Great Patriotic War. A large screen is available for tour groups. As the museum staff note, the virtual holographic promoter is of great interest to visitors – this is a transparent figure of a Red Army soldier who “comes to life” and reproduces the story about the liberation of the city, Kuban and the great Victory on May 9, 1945,” commented regional coordinator of the party project “Culture of the Small Motherland”, State Duma deputy Svetlana Bessarab.
