Mayor Sergei Sobyanin said that the project of a pedestrian bridge connecting Presnenskaya embankment and Taras Shevchenko embankment had finally been approved. But, to the disappointment of local residents, it will not be where it is needed.

“We approved the design project for a new pedestrian bridge across the Moscow River. It will be easier to get to several important sites in the capital. Among them are “Moscow City” and the theater “Workshop P.N. Fomenko”, as well as metro stations, MCC and MCD: “Mezhdunarodnaya”, “Delovoy Tsentr”, “Vystavochnaya”, “Kutuzovskaya” and “Testovskaya”. To build it, we will reconstruct the lower level of the Dorogomilovsky road bridge. Then we’ll make descents from it to the embankments,” Sobyanin wrote in his Telegram channel.

The Dorogomilovsky road bridge is the Third Transport Ring, where no one lives or walks. But we need a bridge somewhere at the level of Krasnaya Presnya Park. From there it is equally inconvenient to go to both the Bagration Bridge and the Novoarbatsky Bridge.
