The actions of the manufacturer who supplied falsified milk to an enterprise in the Rostov region violated antimonopoly legislation – reports regional department of Rosselkhoznadzor.
As part of food monitoring by department specialists in the refrigerated warehouse of IP Khatlamadzhyan H.V. (Rostov region) samples of drinking pasteurized milk “Goryanka” were taken, produced by Nalchik Dairy Plant LLC (Kabardino-Balkarian Republic). The milk was examined for quality and safety indicators.
According to laboratory studies conducted at the Rostov Reference Center of Rosselkhoznadzor, vegetable oils and vegetable-based fats were found in milk. At the same time, the packaging indicates pasteurized milk with a mass fraction of fat of 2.5%. Thus, these facts indicate falsification of the fat phase of the product,” Rosselkhoznadzor said in a statement.
As a result of the analysis of electronic veterinary accompanying documents in FSIS “Mercury”, obvious discrepancies between the products declared for supply and those actually supplied were established. As part of interdepartmental cooperation, information about violations was sent to the Kabardino-Balkarian OFAS.
The Federal Antimonopoly Service conducted an inspection that identified signs of violation of antimonopoly legislation in the actions of Nalchik Dairy Plant LLC – misleading consumers regarding the goods supplied.
The product manufacturer has been warned not to sell goods containing false information about composition and compliance on the packaging.
- In addition, the case materials were transferred to the OFAS commission for the consideration of administrative proceedings to resolve the issue of initiating a case for an administrative offense under Part 1 of Art. 14.33 Code of Administrative Offenses of the Russian Federation (Unfair Competition), the department clarified.
