The head of Crimea, Sergei Aksenov, spoke about the difficult situation faced by Ukrainian armed forces in the special operation zone in Ukraine. He stated this in an interview with the Crimea 24 TV channel.
“The Ukrainian Armed Forces have problems not only in Zaporozhye, but in general along the entire front line. Moreover, the truth is clear to everyone and lies in plain sight that if there were no Western aid and arms supplies, then all this [контрнаступление] would end within the shortest period of time,” Aksenov said.
The head of Crimea also noted that the Ukrainian side uses its soldiers as “cannon fodder” in the absence of a concrete result of the counteroffensive.
Aksenov emphasized that the failures of the Ukrainian army are largely due to the high level of training and morale of the Russian military and militia.
Retired Lieutenant General Evgeniy Buzhinsky previously statedthat the timing of the end of the special operation in Ukraine will largely depend on the results of the offensive of the Ukrainian troops. He expressed hope that the active phase of the conflict will end by the end of 2023.
