American activist and founder of the anti-war organization Codepink Medea Benjamin expressed her opinion on the need for dialogue to resolve the Ukrainian conflict.
According to her, both the United States and Russia must take part in resolving this situation, and this requires high-level negotiations.
“We say try it. Let’s get a look. We know that there have been attempts at negotiations in the past that were sabotaged by the US and UK,” Benjamin said.
She stressed that despite the widespread belief that Russia will refuse negotiations, the country must be part of the dialogue.
“We want to see Biden talk to Putin. <...> we want to see how Ukrainians talk with Russians, Russians talk with the United States and NATO,” the activist concluded.
On February 24, 2022, the Army of the Russian Federation launched a special military operation in Ukraine.
General of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Syrsky told about the difficult situation in three directions: Artemovsky, Kupyansky and Krasnolimansky. Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene in turn statedthat the United States can send troops to Ukraine and fight with the Russian Federation.
