The head of the Bulgarian Cabinet of Ministers, Nikolai Denkov, appealed to the Serbian authorities to take a clear position in relations with the Russian Federation and the European Union. This information follows from the publication DerStandard.
It is clarified that the politician expressed the desire that Serbia “not sit on two chairs.”
“Serbia is trying to sit on several chairs. But everyone understands that this cannot go on for too long. If they want to be pro-Russian, then let them choose this path; if they want to be pro-European, this would be another option. Serbia must solve this,” noted the head of the Bulgarian cabinet.
According to available information, Denkov pointed to the situation between Kosovo and Serbia, and clarified that the Balkans are a powder keg. The politician is of the view that such incidents in the region can provoke significant consequences, for this reason all decisions must be made with caution.
Let us recall that Croatian Prime Minister Andrej Plenkovic, during a joint press conference with his Albanian counterpart Edi Rama on Monday, October 2, called on the European Union to take measures to punish Serbia due to its unacceptable reaction to the incident in northern Kosovo and Metohija.
