El Dorado Airport has new signage: ABCs of what you need to know before traveling

To facilitate the transit of its passengers inside the terminal, Bogotá’s El Dorado International Airport recently modernized its signage to provide an optimal experience to its travelers when they prepare to board.

Thus, since August 2023, the air terminal lounges “went from having a numerical nomenclature to be identified with color and letterallowing easier location for travelers and saving them time on their travels.”

With these changes in mind, below is a point-by-point explanation of how the new signage at El Dorado Airport works so that travelers can become familiar with it and not miss their domestic and international trips.

With the new signage, the international dock El Dorado airport was sectored with the color blue and divided with the letters A and B. Thus, the boarding gates are distributed as follows:

In the event that your flight is for a national destinationboarding gates are now identified with orange and green colorsand with the numbers of the 1 to 10as follows:

But the signs at the El Dorado boarding gates were not the only ones that changed. The air terminal reported that the numbering of the airport’s entrance gates were reversed.

“From the moment you arrive at the terminal you will notice that the door that was previously number 9 is now door number 1, and so on in the sense that the vehicles circulate. This numbering change applies to both the first floor and the second floor,” the air terminal explained.
