Mexico recovers millions of dollars linked to García Luna’s properties in Florida, USA

The Ministry of Finance and Public Credit reported that Mexico recovered assets from companies allegedly linked to Genaro García Luna. On Thursday, October 5, the institution reported that the above was the result of monitoring a demand civil in FloridaUSA.

While the person in charge of ordering the delivery of the goods was the Judge Lisa Walsh. It should be noted that the civil lawsuit not only includes the former Secretary of Security of Mexico, but also his wife. Linda Cristina Pereyra.

The decision of the American judge was made on October 4, but was informed by the Mexican authorities a day later. It’s about the company called Delta Integrator.

Lisa Walsh gave a term Maximum of 10 days so that the company’s assets, which amount to 1 million 968 thousand 250 dollars, are transferred to the Government of Mexico, the above for three properties already settled and also a department in Miami with a value of around $558,800.

“In total, the Judge has ordered the delivery to Mexico of USD 2, 524,050.00 (two million five hundred twenty-four thousand 50 dollars), about 44 million pesos Mexicans, from the sale of properties that were acquired in Florida, USA by García Luna and Linda Cristina Pereyra,” the statement reads.

The above, with money from what the Ministry of Finance and Public Credit determined as a “corrupt plot” which was organized by García Luna and his wife Linda Cristina against the Government of Mexico.

Genaro García Luna carried out its operations for more than 10 years, in the administrations of the now former presidents Vincent Fox, Enrique Pena Nieto and Felipe Calderonduring the latter’s six-year term he served as Secretary of Public Security.

The payment determined is a “first recovery of assets in Florida, products of acts of corruption of the band that organized Garcia Luna and that it operated for more than ten years.”

Mexico claims more than 600 million dollars in a civil trial that has not yet ended and which will be followed up, the authorities assured.
