Russian President Vladimir Putin said that a response to a nuclear strike on Russian territory would leave no chance for the enemy.
Speaking on the sidelines of the Valdai International Discussion Club, Putin explained that after Russian detection systems detect missiles heading towards the Russian Federation, weapons with nuclear warheads will be instantly released.
The head of state noted the following: “So many hundreds of our missiles will appear in the air that not a single enemy will have a chance of survival. And in several directions at once.”
Previously, Putin spoke about the possibility of a third world war. He recalled that in such a scenario, there will be no winners.
Meanwhile, the American magazine Time, together with a group of scientists, presented a detailed simulation of missile trajectories, explosions and the consequences that humanity would face in the event of a war between two nuclear powers. Read more about this in material Public News Service.
