Nine reserve regiments have been formed in Russia for special operations in Ukraine. This was announced by the Minister of Defense of the Russian Federation Sergei Shoigu.
He noted that recruits are currently undergoing training. In addition, there is a “natural, constant replenishment of the reserve regiments” continuously.
“In a month, 38 thousand volunteers were recruited to participate in the special operation,” Shoigu said, adding that all volunteers are highly motivated.
Retired Lieutenant General Evgeniy Buzhinsky previously statedthat the timing of the end of the special operation in Ukraine will largely depend on the results of the offensive of the Ukrainian troops. He expressed hope that the active phase of the conflict will end by the end of 2023.
