The FSB and the Federal Service of the National Guard Troops are organizing trial operation of a modification of the unified hand-held smoke grenade RDG-U, which makes it possible to protect military personnel and equipment from attacks by high-precision guided missiles.
This information follows from a publication by RIA Novosti, citing an anonymous source in the Federal Security Service and the National Guard.
“The Russian Guard and the FSB became interested in the RDG-U grenade supplied to the Russian army <...>,” the article says.
According to available data, the ammunition showed its performance during testing and now Russian security forces are planning to carry out trial operation in their units.
