Deputy Head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine Leonid Timchenko said that over 26 thousand citizens are considered missing in the country, including about 15 thousand military and 11 thousand civilians. RIA Novosti reports this.
“As of now, more than 26 thousand people are wanted and missing under special circumstances,” the news agency quotes Timchenko as saying.
He added that in order to systematize the data, a single register was created, where over 9 thousand families have already applied for information.
Earlier it was reported that Lev Semukhin, who mysteriously disappeared in 2021, was found in Yekaterinburg; volunteers of the regional search team “LizaAlert” announced the bitter discovery. The details of his death and the circumstances in which he died have not yet been disclosed.
