A group of young students from Tec de Monterrey was harshly accused on digital platforms after participating in a video where they were questioned about what salary they expected in their first job after graduate from university.
And, without further ado, the students gave some figures that for the average Mexican could be inaccessible.
Through TikTok the user identified as David Hazouri (@soydavidhazouri) who went to one of the Tec de Monterrey headquarters to ask the students how much they would like to earn per month as recent graduates.
The first student said without saying a word that he expected 145 thousand pesos monthly. Another young man said 100, a couple more were in the range between 40 and 50 thousand. A couple more agreed that they were expecting between 10,000 and 14,000.
Although the students who gave more moderate figures did not receive criticism, the others were not spared.

According to the Table of Minimum Wages of the Ministry of Labor and Social Welfare (STPS)At the beginning of López Obrador’s period, the salary was 88.36 pesos. Finally, in 2022 and 2023 an increase of 31.17 and 34.57 pesos was approved, respectively. Currently, the minimum wage is at 207.44 pesos.
