Bustinduy demands strict respect for human rights and the interest of migrant minors

Madrid, Jan 23 (EFE).- The Minister of Social Rights, Pablo Bustinduy, stressed this Tuesday that the Government abides by and respects the ruling of the Supreme Court that declares the return of minors to Morocco illegal, although he has demanded “strict respect “to human rights and the best interests of the minor.

“The Government has expressed very clearly its compliance and its maximum respect for this sentence, which I celebrate,” Bustinduy said at the press conference after the Council of Ministers, in which he assured that “any intervention “of the State must adhere “strictly” to legality, to the interest of the minor and have a human rights approach.

“I believe that strict respect for these principles is the only safeguard, it is the only protection we have against the xenophobic and authoritarian tide that has taken over other European countries,” the minister stated. EFE
