Míchel: “Three very important points to continue fighting for a dream”

Vigo, Jan 28 (EFE).- Miguel Ángel Sánchez Muñoz, ‘Míchel’, coach of Girona, highlighted the “personality” with which his team played against Celta in a match in which “it was not easy to do so” because of the Terrible state of the Balaídos grass.

“They are three very important points to continue fighting for a dream. I am very happy because the conditions were not adequate, the field did not help at all. We had a lot of personality to have the ball in very difficult conditions to play and I am very happy because “You have to have a lot of personality,” he said after his team’s 0-1 victory that keeps him as leader.

Míchel said that when Girona is brave and plays “to look at the rival, to go forward and seek to be able to dominate”, it is a block that can beat “any rival”.

“The effort has been tremendous but the people have finished well, competing until the end. The last two or three weeks we haven’t been able to really train, and we need to train to have all the people hooked up. Now we have two weeks ahead of us to prepare for a very difficult match against Real Sociedad,” he stressed.

He praised the “great performance” of all his players and insisted that they only sign if a player arrives who allows them to “take a leap in quality.”

“We have enough staff to compete. If a central defender comes it will be for the next few years because we want to continue growing as a club, it will not be a patch for now,” he said. EFE
