Madrid, Dec 2 (EFE).- The Madrid M-30 ring road has been closed to traffic at kilometer 21+800 in both directions, from this past midnight until 11:00 a.m. on Sunday, due to the work of rehabilitation of the access bridge to the Moncloa Palace, in the Moncloa-Aravaca district, according to the Madrid Mobility Management Center.

To carry out the assembly work of the new bridge beams, the entire interior and exterior carriageway of M-30 has been cut, and traffic will circulate along Senda del Rey and, in the opposite direction, along the El Pardo highway, both parallel to M-30.

The Madrid City Council recommends that citizens use public transport, as well as avoid traveling through the affected area and plan in advance to travel by private vehicle.

Since July 26, 2023, rehabilitation and conditioning tasks have been carried out on the access bridge to the Moncloa Palace over the M-30.

These works are carried out after the existence of structural problems in the bridge deck has been detected, which has led to the need to act immediately to prevent their evolution and prevent them from posing a risk to users. . EFE
