Confectioner Dmitry Duran prepared 5 New Year’s desserts: recipes for the festive table

You can’t do without sweets on the New Year’s table, because the symbol of the year – the Rabbit – loves various goodies.

Baked orange with cinnamon and honey

Recipe from the category “easier than simple – tastier than delicious.” We clean 2 oranges from the skin and white film and divide them into slices, which we immediately lay out in a baking dish. Mix 30 grams of peeled chopped walnuts and 1 teaspoon of cinnamon with 4 tablespoons of honey, then spread on top of the prepared oranges. We set the oven to 200 degrees, bake for 15 minutes – you’re done! The delicacy can be served both hot and chilled.

Creamy carrot dessert

The symbol of the coming year loves carrots and fruits, which means they should be used in desserts as actively as possible. For cooking, you need raisins and finely grated carrots. Then start preparing the cream: take cream 250 ml 33% and beat them until a thick foam. Mix ingredients and divide into serving glasses.

Strudel with ice cream

It will take 500 gr. puff pastry, on a clean surface, sprinkle with flour a square of about 30 by 30 cm and put the dough plates on it one on top of the other. Then we take 3 crackers of white bread, grind them into crumbs and sprinkle the surface of the dough with it so that the edges remain free from it.

Pour some water into the bottom of the pan and dissolve 2 tablespoons of sugar in it over low heat, and then add 1 tablespoon of raisins, 3 peeled and pitted and diced pears, sprinkled with lemon juice. Cook with the lid removed until the liquid evaporates, and then mix with a glass of walnuts, which must first be crushed.


The resulting filling must be cooled and evenly distributed over the surface of the dough, after which the edges of the dough must be greased with a beaten egg and rolled tightly into a roll. Bake the strudel for about 20 minutes at an oven temperature of 200 degrees, after which it is cooled, sprinkled with powdered sugar and served with 200 grams of ice cream.

We take one large and ripe sweet apple, which we peel and rub on a medium grater. To it we add 200 grams of 9% cottage cheese, one egg and mix everything together. We spread the mixture into molds and put in the microwave for only 5 minutes. Then we test: if the cottage cheese still sticks to the finger, then you need another minute or two of baking, if not, everything is ready. Place on plates, sprinkle with cinnamon and serve.


Bananas in the microwave

You can pamper yourself and your guests with original goodies literally out of the blue – the components of this dessert are more than available, the whole cooking process will take only 20 minutes, and the taste is amazing.

We take a couple of bananas, wash them thoroughly and, without removing the peel, cut them lengthwise so that a pair of peculiar “boats” is obtained from each. We place them on a dish suitable for microwave cooking, flesh up, and grease each half not on the skin, but on the pulp with a teaspoon of jam to your taste. Then we take 2 eggs, separate the whites in them and beat them with whisks together with 20 grams of sugar until a thick foam forms – put it on top of the jam with a spoon. We define the created design in the microwave, turn it on at full power – and in a couple of minutes the creation of a masterpiece is almost completed. There was a small touch – to add a scoop of ice cream to each “boat”.
