“Journalists against corruption” competition announced in Taganrog

The Taganrog city administration is holding a competition for the best journalistic material dedicated to anti-corruption “Journalists against corruption”.

Applicants for participation in the competition can be individuals (journalists, staff or freelance writers of media editorial offices in the Rostov region, sites on the Internet information and telecommunications network) who have expressed a desire to take part in the competition.

The competition is held in two stages. The first is from 10/16/2021 to 11/10/2021, when applications for participation in the competition are accepted.

The second stage is from 11/10/2021 to 11/25/2021, when applications submitted for participation in the competition are reviewed, competition works are assessed by commission members, and winners are determined.

Submission of documents for participation in the competition is carried out in the manner approved resolution administration of the city of Taganrog dated November 27, 2019 No. 2118, posted on the official portal of the administration of the city of Taganrog.

To participate in the competition, the applicant, no later than the deadline for accepting applications, submits to the commission in electronic form to the email address: [email protected] the documents specified in the Regulations on the competition.

The total bonus fund of the competition is 30,000 (thirty thousand) rubles (including taxes provided for by current legislation). For first place, an amount of 15,000 (fifteen thousand) rubles is paid, for second place – in the amount of 10,000 (ten thousand) rubles and for third place – in the amount of 5,000 (five thousand) rubles.

The procedure for submitting documents for participation in the competition.

1. To participate in the competition, the applicant, no later than the deadline for accepting applications, submits to the commission in electronic form to the email address specified in the notice of the competition:

— scanned copies of documents confirming that the applicant for participation in the competition is a journalist, full-time or freelance writer for media editorial offices in the Rostov region;

— a scanned copy of the application for participation in the competition in the form according to the appendix to these Regulations, with the obligatory indication of a link to the competition materials posted on the Internet information and telecommunications network, with access for downloading (except for Google resources);

— a scanned copy of a certificate issued by the editorial office of the media stating that the materials submitted to the competition were not published on commercial terms (if the editorial office is available);

– a scanned copy of the on-air certificate issued by the editorial office of the media, indicating the topic, date of broadcast, timing of materials (if materials published on a television or radio channel are submitted to the competition);

– a scanned copy of the register of competitive materials indicating the date of publication and topic of materials (if materials published in periodicals and (or) publications on the Internet are submitted to the competition).

Documents sent by e-mail after the deadline for accepting applications specified in the announcement of the competition are not considered, about which the secretary of the commission, on the day of receipt of the documents, sends a response letter to the e-mail address from which the documents for participation in the competition were sent.

2. Competition materials:

– must be published (placed) in periodicals or publications on the Internet information and telecommunications network, broadcast on television or radio in Russian during the period from January 1 of the previous year until the start of accepting applications;

– must be aimed at achieving the goals and objectives of the competition;

– must not be of an advertising nature;

– should not be released on commercial terms;

– should not contain 50 percent or more of the text that is a reprint from other media.

The genre of materials is not regulated.

3. Materials submitted to the competition are not reviewed, paid for or returned.

4. The organizers of the competition have the right to publish, as well as otherwise distribute and replicate materials submitted to the competition, including posting on the Internet information and telecommunications network, without payment of remuneration, with mandatory reference to authorship and affiliation with the media.
