In Ryazhsk, a memorial plaque was unveiled to the photojournalist of the Ryazhskiye Vesti newspaper Vladimir Mazalov
On December 16, a memorial plaque was unveiled in Ryazhsk to an honorary citizen of the city, an honorary local historian of the region, a member of the Union of Journalists of Russia, a photojournalist of the Ryazhskiye Vesti newspaper Vladimir Mazalov.
Andrey Nasonov, head of the administration of the Ryazhsky district:
“For many years, the district administration, the district Duma went hand in hand with Vladimir Mazalov. He was an extraordinary, talented person. Laconic, but able to notice the subtle features of each person. Not a single event in the city and region passed him by. It is difficult to imagine a regional newspaper without photographs of Vladimir Nikolayevich. Without his articles about fellow countrymen – leaders of labor, creative, interesting people. His name will forever remain in the history of the Ryazhsky region. In the memory of everyone who worked with him, knew him and communicated.”
Irina Bondarenko, editor-in-chief of the Ryazhskiye Vesti newspaper, Valentina Ignatieva, senior researcher of the Ryazhsky Museum of Local Lore, Irina Popenko, senior researcher of the Ryazhsky Local Lore Museum, Archpriest Andrey Silinsky, Dean of the Ryazhsky District, shared their memories of a colleague, friend, and comrade-in-arms.
The right to open the memorial was granted to the widow of Vladimir Mazalov, Nadezhda Selezneva, and his son, Vladimir.
“When Vladimir Nikolayevich was awarded the title of “Honorary Citizen of the city of Ryazhsk,” he said: “I thank the city, I thank my countrymen!” And now I want to say it in words: I thank the city and thank the people of Ryazha for remembering him with warmth, kindness and respect. His work as a person, local historian, photographer.
After the memorial sign was consecrated, the participants laid flowers at the memorial plaque to Vladimir Nikolaevich Mazalov.
Vladimir Mazalov was born on August 20, 1945 in the village of Lebyazhye, Kurgan Region. In 1966 he graduated with honors from the Sverdlovsk Radio Engineering College. He came to Ryazhsk in 1974, got a job in the regional newspaper Avangard as a photojournalist, and eventually showed himself to be a talented author. Vladimir Nikolayevich is a co-author of many articles for the Ryazh Encyclopedia. He is a member of the Union of Journalists of Russia, an honorary citizen of the city of Ryazhsk, an honorary local historian of the Ryazhsky district, editor of the newspaper “Ryasskoye Pole” of the V.I. Garetovsky. For many years of fruitful work in the media, a great personal contribution to the culture and preservation of the folk traditions of his native land, active participation in the public life of the district has been repeatedly encouraged by the leadership of the district and region.
