Ricardo Monreal reacts to the murder of his nephew: “Hard and painful time for the country”

He added that despite the reactions and complications of organized crime, the state government will not rest until it finds those responsible.

“We will not take a step back in our commitment to return tranquility to the Zacatecas people,” he noted.

The state government had announced this week that 800 elements of the Mexican Army would arrive in the municipality of Fresnillo.

For his part, the governor of the entity, David Monreal He assured that there will be no impunity for these events.

“Given the tragic events of this week, in which citizens and family members were murdered, I express to the people of Zacatecas that there will be no impunity; We will continue fighting for pacification in Zacatecas. Reports from the federal government indicate that in Zacatecas operates the Jalisco New Generation Cartel (CJNG), after making an alliance with the Gulf Cartel to enter that entity. Meanwhile, authorities have also reported arrests of hitmen from the Sinaloa Cartel and the Northwest Cartel.
