United Nations, Oct 8 (EFE).- The Israeli ambassador to the UN, Gilad Erdan, called for international unity in the condemnation by the Security Council, which will meet later this Sunday, of the latest attacks by the Islamist group Hamas against Israel, which he denounced as “war crimes.”

“What we are seeing are flagrant and barbaric war crimes: they are murdering civilians, abusing hostages, taking babies from their mothers,” the diplomat said in statements to the media, in which he described the attacks that have led to a new war as “Israel’s 9/11.”

“The Security Council is preparing to meet today and Israel has only one demand: Hamas’ war crimes must be unequivocally condemned (…),” added Erdan, who described as “immoral and false” the comparisons between “a savage terrorist group” and the “democratic State of Israel.” EFE
