In the Rostov region, a 35-year-old man was sentenced to 11 years in prison and a large fine for attempting to sell drugs on a large scale and giving a bribe, the press service of the regional Sledkom reports.
According to the investigation, in September last year, a 35-year-old resident of Rostov illegally acquired a large consignment of drugs, which he packaged in plastic bags for further sale in Bataysk. He laid out part of the drugs in the form of “bookmarks” on the territory of the city, and kept the rest in the car.
The figurant was detained by police officers who seized the drugs. Then he, wanting to avoid criminal liability, offered and then handed over the money to the police officer. However, he promptly informed the management about the bribe, so the actions of the offender were stopped as part of the operational police action.
By a court verdict, the man was sentenced to 11 years in prison to be served in a strict regime correctional colony with a fine of 1 million rubles.
