In the Ryazhsky district, a man almost stabbed his common-law wife

On December 11, a 46-year-old resident of the village of Novoe Egoldaevo turned to the inter-municipal department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia “Ryazhsky”. She reported that a drunk cohabitant threatened to stab her.

According to preliminary information, on the afternoon of December 11, a 46-year-old Ryazan (now settled in Novy Egoldaev with his common-law wife) returned home tipsy. On this basis, they quarreled. The woman called the police. The brawler was taken to the department and an administrative protocol was drawn up against him. Returning home, the man continued to drink and reprimand his civil wife for calling the police. Then he grabbed a kitchen knife and rushed at the woman with the words: “I’ll kill you!”. The mistress of the house hurried to hide and again asked for help. Police officers quickly went to the scene and neutralized the conflict.

The man had previously been charged with threatening to kill.

A criminal case has been initiated under Part 1 of Article 119 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation “Threat to kill or inflict grievous bodily harm”. The punishment for it is up to two years in prison.
