Irritation, envy, jealousy: 40% of Muscovites have a negative attitude towards initiative colleagues
Activities in Moscow teams are not always encouraged even by the authorities.
An interesting study was conducted by analysts from the Superjob service. They interviewed employees and management of various Moscow companies to find out how they treat enterprising employees. In short, the positive has diminished.
But first, let’s talk about the good: it turned out that more than half of Muscovites (about 60%) have a positive attitude towards those who show initiative. True, some with reservations: if only this does not add to my work, if this increases my salary. Definitely approving gained 38%.
About 40% not only do not support active colleagues, but do not even treat them neutrally – rather negatively. “Judging by the comments, someone else’s initiative can cause not only irritation from the fact that everyone will have to implement it, but also envy and jealousy,” analysts write, based on their survey data.
Finally, company management has a positive attitude towards employee initiatives in 44% of cases. Here, the indicators have improved: in 2020, about 30% of respondents shared this opinion. Analysts believe that this is due to the first difficulties during the covid period – there was no time for initiatives, it was important to stay afloat.
