The cost of living in the Sverdlovsk region will increase by 14.8% in 2023. Growth will be higher than projected inflation, as well as higher than the average Russian growth rate of 13.6%.
In physical terms, the subsistence minimum per capita will be 14,088 rubles per month:
– for the able-bodied population – 15,356 rubles;
– for pensioners – 12,116 rubles;
– for children – 14,623 rubles.
According to the information policy department of the region, the amounts were approved at a meeting of the regional government chaired by the head of the region, Yevgeny Kuyvashev.
The living wage is the cost of a conditional consumer basket – key food products (bread, vegetables and fruits, sugar, salt, tea, meat, fish, milk, butter), non-food products, as well as services, including utility bills. The living wage is set once a year. It depends, among other things, on the amount of social benefits for certain categories of citizens.
