Barcelona, Nov 29 (EFECOM).- The workers of the renewable energy marketer Holaluz announced this Wednesday that they will undertake a “permanent mobilization” campaign against the layoffs that the company intends to carry out and that could affect around 200 people. 27% of the workforce.

In a statement, the law firm Col.lectiu Ronda, which advises the workers, denounced this Wednesday “the posture of intransigence” and the “lack of will” of the company to negotiate during the first part of the consultation period of the Record of employment regulation.

Furthermore, he has assured that the layoff proposal includes an “exaggerated” number of workers who have taken a union position in the process or who regularly telework, which would “call into question the legality” of the file.

The collective dismissal file was presented on November 13 with the objective, according to the company, of addressing a situation of temporary slowdown in demand for photovoltaic installations.

The lawyer of the Col·lectiu Ronda Jordi Vidal has assured that Holaluz’s own argument “denotes the real lack of an objective cause that justifies such a high volume of dismissals”, since he attributes the bad moment that the company is going through to “exogenous factors and cyclical”.

The first mobilization of the campaign announced by the workers will be a rally that will take place this afternoon in front of the company’s headquarters in Barcelona. EFECOM
