Thanks to the use of the “Cape” coating, the T-90M “Proryv-3” tanks of the Russian Armed Forces gained the ability to effectively resist Javelin missiles. RIA Novosti writes about this with reference to an informed interlocutor.

The source said that this coating is put on combat vehicles, with the help of which they become less noticeable in the radar and infrared range.

The agency’s interlocutor shared the following information: “Since the Cape provides a significant reduction in thermal radiation from the tank and smoothes out the so-called thermal contrast zones, the Javelin ATGM missile, which uses an infrared seeker, fails to lock on the target.”

Let us remind you that on the morning of February 24, 2022, the Russian Federation launched a special operation on Ukrainian territory. During a televised address to the population, Russian President Vladimir Putin said that this was necessary to protect the residents of the friendly Lugansk and Donetsk people’s republics.

Earlier, the governor of the Zaporozhye region, Evgeniy Balitsky, spoke about the situation in the Zaporozhye section of the Northern Military District. According to him, Ukrainian troops use a minimal amount of equipment when attacking. More about this read the material Public News Service.
