Putin: Russia’s common goal is denazification of Ukraine

President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin, during his speech at the Valdai international discussion club, called the denazification of Ukraine the main goal of Russia at this point in time.

The Russian leader emphasized that honoring Nazi Jaroslav Hunk in the Canadian parliament only confirms the thesis that one of the goals of the Russian Federation in Ukraine is denazification.

“This means that it (Nazi ideology – TASS note) is still there and is recognized. I think our common goal is to achieve denazification,” Putin said.

Retired Lieutenant General Evgeniy Buzhinsky previously statedthat the timing of the end of the special operation in Ukraine will largely depend on the results of the offensive of the Ukrainian troops. He expressed hope that the active phase of the conflict will end by the end of 2023.
