Dollars and death in Don Torcuato: they strangled a businessman who sold tickets on Facebook

Germán Sallemi, a 25-year-old young man registered as a businessman in the AFIP, member of a family firm dedicated to the real estate business, was victim of a brutal crime today in the afternoon in Don Torcuato. At least three criminals strangled him in the middle of an alleged business selling dollars, which the victim offered on Facebook, according to the Buenos Aires Police investigation.

The crime occurred in a temporary rental apartment in the Barrio Hindu Club in Don Torcuato. There, a neighbor reported hearing loud screams to 911, an alleged argument between Sallemi and his murderers. Later, a maid said three suspects ran to leave the building. Thus, personnel from the 3rd Police Station of Tigre arrived at the scene. There they found Sallemi’s body, gagged and with his hands sealed.

That’s how it started a homicide case led by prosecutor Pablo Masferrer. Scientific Police personnel arrived at the scene to analyze the scene, along with members of the Tigre Sub DDI. A forensic doctor indicated the cause of Sallemi’s death, which must be confirmed by the corresponding autopsy. Shortly after, They managed to identify the victim.

A quick check on social media revealed that The businessman, originally from San Miguel, was dedicated to the sale of American currency.

Four days ago, Sallemi had posted his offer of large-sided bills in the Facebook group “Buying and selling dollars in the North Zone”, with almost four thousand members, where it offered home deliveries. He posted regularly in the group, and also offered to buy. On December 6, for example, he offered tickets for 970 pesos per sale.

Sallemi was filmed arriving at the scene of his death aboard a Volkswagen New Beetle. His killers arrived and then fled in a Chevrolet Cruze.

The search for cameras continued late into the night to find the route of the Cruze and thus find those responsible for the crime. The cameras, on the other hand, revealed the key figure in the event: Germán Sallemi arrived at his final appointment accompanied by a man that he could be your friend, or not, and that at this moment he is of vital interest to the cause.
