Special military operation: events of December 20

The Armed Forces of the Russian Federation continue to conduct a special military operation. In the area of ​​​​the settlement of Ukrainka in the Donetsk People’s Republic, positions were opened and two radar stations of Ukrainian S-300 anti-aircraft missile systems transferred from the central regions of Ukraine were destroyed, the Russian Defense Ministry reports.

In the area of ​​​​the settlement of Konstantinovka of the Donetsk People’s Republic, a US-made AN / TPQ-36 counter-battery radar was destroyed.

In the Kupyansk direction, as a result of army aviation and artillery strikes on units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the area of ​​​​the settlement of Kislovka, Kharkiv region, up to 30 Ukrainian servicemen and three vehicles were destroyed.

In the Krasno-Limansky direction, fire damage was inflicted on accumulations of enemy manpower and military equipment in the area of ​​\u200b\u200bthe settlement of Nevskoye of the Luhansk People’s Republic. Three sabotage and reconnaissance groups of the Armed Forces of Ukraine were destroyed in the areas of the settlements of Chervonaya Dibrova and Stelmakhovka of the Luhansk People’s Republic. The losses of the enemy in this direction per day amounted to 50 Ukrainian servicemen, two armored combat vehicles and three pickup trucks.

In the Donetsk direction, Russian troops continued offensive operations. In the areas of the settlements of Ivano-Daryevka, Bakhmutskoye and Orlovka of the Donetsk People’s Republic, more than 100 Ukrainian servicemen, four infantry fighting vehicles and two vehicles were destroyed as a result of a complex fire attack on the positions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

In the South-Donetsk direction in the areas of the settlements of Konstantinovka and Zolotaya Niva of the Donetsk People’s Republic, artillery fire destroyed the points of temporary deployment of units of the 61st and 72nd mechanized brigades of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. In addition, a sabotage and reconnaissance group of the Armed Forces of Ukraine was destroyed in the area of ​​\u200b\u200bthe settlement Novodonetskoye of the Donetsk People’s Republic. During the day, the enemy’s losses in this direction amounted to up to 70 Ukrainian servicemen killed and wounded, three armored combat vehicles and two pickup trucks.

Operational-tactical aviation, missile troops and artillery of groups of troops (forces) of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation hit the ammunition depot of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the area of ​​​​the settlement of Nevskoye of the Luhansk People’s Republic, 64 artillery units in firing positions, as well as manpower and military equipment in 143 districts .
Fighter aircraft of the Russian Aerospace Forces in the areas of the settlements of Stepanovka and Belozerskoye of the Donetsk People’s Republic shot down two MiG-29 aircraft of the Ukrainian Air Force. In addition, a Ukrainian Mi-8 helicopter was shot down near the village of Timofeevka in the Donetsk People’s Republic.

Russian air defense systems shot down a Su-25 aircraft of the Ukrainian Air Force near the town of Vuhledar in the Donetsk People’s Republic. A Ukrainian Mi-8 helicopter was shot down near the village of Severnoye in the Donetsk People’s Republic. In addition, five unmanned aerial vehicles were destroyed during the day in the areas of the settlements of Rudovo in the Luhansk People’s Republic, Volnovakha, Novoandreevka in the Donetsk People’s Republic and Velikie Kopani in the Kherson region.

In total, since the beginning of the special military operation, the following have been destroyed: 347 aircraft, 186 helicopters, 2,689 unmanned aerial vehicles, 398 anti-aircraft missile systems, 7,168 tanks and other armored combat vehicles, 931 combat vehicles of multiple launch rocket systems, 3,693 field artillery and mortar guns, as well as 7674 units of special military vehicles.
