Regarding this recent disqualification of the Argentine president against Petro, The Foreign Ministry presented its “strong and energetic rejection” of what it called “irresponsible statements” and he remembered that it was not the first time it had happened.

“Colombia rejects these disrespectful statements, which are presented repeatedly, which deteriorate the historical ties of friendship between the two nations. and they represent an offense to the dignity of the President of the Republic of Colombia democratically elected by the people of Colombia (sic),” they expressed in the letter.

It is the second time that the head of state in Argentina has made disgraceful expressions against Gustavo Petro, after in an interview, on January 25, with journalist Ángela Patricia Janiot he stated that: “He is a murderous communist who is sinking Colombia.”
