Vejer de la Frontera (Cádiz), Nov 6 (EFE).- This morning the emergency services rescued the lifeless body of a surfer on the beach of El Palmar, in the Cádiz municipality of Vejer de la Frontera, as reported Emergencies 112 of the Junta de Andalucía.
A witness alerted the coordination center around 11:10 a.m. that a man on a surfboard was being dragged by the current into the sea and could not return, past the buoys on El Palmar beach.
Immediately, 112 alerted members of the Red Cross, the Health Emergency Center 061, which has mobilized a Critical Care and Emergency Device (DCCU), the Local Police and Maritime Rescue of Tarifa.
Maritime Rescue sources have located the surfer who died on the board and have taken him to the port of Barbate. At the moment the circumstances under which this event took place have not been revealed. EFE
