Washington, Dec 23 (EFE).- The president of the United States, Joe Bdien, leaves the White House this Saturday and heads to the Camp David presidential residence, on the outskirts of Washington, where he will spend Christmas Eve and Christmas.

It is the third year that the president and the first lady, Jill Biden, decide to spend these festivities at Camp David, a rest residence built in Maryland in 1942 by President Franklin Delano Roosevelt.

The presidential couple will return to the White House on Tuesday and on Wednesday they will leave for Santa Cruz, in the United States Virgin Islands, where they will celebrate the New Year.

Yesterday, the Bidens made the traditional Christmas visit to the Washington Children’s Hospital, where the first lady read a story to the children admitted to the medical center.

Days ago, Biden received the singer Mariah Carey at the White House and together they listened to her emblematic Christmas song ‘All I want for Christmas is you’, as the president himself revealed on social networks.
