Raphael Caro Quinteroalso know as The Narco of Narcossuffered a new setback, after a federal judge denied him protection with which he sought to prevent his transfer to another maximum security prison in the country.

Currently, the co-founder of the extinct Guadalajara Cartel is located in the Federal Center for Social Rehabilitation Number 1, known as ‘The Altiplano’ and located in the municipality of Almoloya de Juárez, State of Mexico (Edomex).

In his fight to avoid being sent to another prison, Caro Quintero promoted an amparo that was rejected by the judge Abigail Ocampo Alvarezof the First District in Matters of Amparo and Federal Trials in Edomex, according to reports from Millennium.

The judge rejected the demand for guarantees based on article 61, section XX, of the Amparo Law, which establishes that a protection is unfair “against acts of authorities other than judicial, administrative or labor courts, which must be reviewed ex officio, in accordance with the laws that govern them, or any trial, appeal or means of legal defense proceeds against them by virtue of which they may be modified, revoked or nullified.”

Apparently what the ex-capo was looking for is not to be handed over to the American authoritieswho require it due to their alleged participation in the murder of Enrique Kiki Camarena.
