Jerusalem, Oct 9 (EFE).- Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Gallant announced this Monday that he ordered the total blockade of the Gaza Strip, which means that the Palestinian enclave will be without a supply of electricity, food and fuel, in middle of a war between Israel and the Islamist movement Hamas.

Israel has maintained an air, land and sea blockade on the Gaza Strip since 2007, when Hamas took control of the enclave and now the enclave, with 2.2 million inhabitants, has only one power plant that requires fuel to operate and supply hospitals, homes and shelters.
