The arrival of a train of storms this Sunday will cause the generalization of an autumn atmosphere throughout Spain, with a drop in temperatures and the warning of locally heavy rains in the Balearic Islands. This Saturday the change in weather has already been noticed in the northwest of the peninsula and starting this Sunday it will be noticed in most of the country, thanks to a train of Atlantic storms that will last for at least seven days. Thus, rain alerts will be activated in the Mediterranean area, with a yellow warning in Catalonia and orange in the Balearic Islands, although the Canary Islands are distinguished with a yellow warning due to high temperatures. The cloudy skies on the coast of Catalonia and the Balearic Islands will lead to showers that could be locally strong, especially in the early morning, while the Canary Islands will be able to register maximum temperatures above 34ºC in the midlands and coasts of the south of Tenerife and Gran Canaria. in addition to a light haze that will tend to subside in the afternoon, according to the State Meteorological Agency (Aemet). In the rest of the Peninsula, cloudy intervals are expected from which some weak and scattered precipitation cannot be ruled out, except in the southeast of the Peninsula, where slightly cloudy skies or high clouds will predominate. Likewise, morning fogs and mists are likely around the Pyrenean area, in areas of the Cantabrian Sea, in the north of the Iberian Peninsula and in the central system, as well as in the Balearic Islands and in the Strait and under Guadalquivir. Temperatures will reflect the general decrease in recent days, although during the day there may be a greater drop in the northwest of the peninsula, the northern half of the Mediterranean coast, the Balearic Islands and the Canary Islands, while at night they will intensify their drop throughout the country. The winds will be easterly in the Cantabrian Sea, with some strong intervals in the western part; of the southern component in Galicia, of the northern component in the Ampurdán and of the western component in the southern half of the Mediterranean area.
