Filo’s ‘Carne y Fuego’: gastronomic event was canceled by the municipality of Surco for not having a permit

A few hours ago, the assistants of ‘Flesh and Fire’ from Filo came to the outside of the culinary event to enter. However, they were surprised that the doors were closed, due to that they would not have the permits. Given the uncertainty, the organizers of this gastronomic fair issued a letter to inform what would have happened.
Through social networks, they confirmed the event cancellation that was scheduled to open its doors this Saturday, November 4 at 12:00 am However, they denounced that “unfair acts” by the Municipality of Santiago de Surco, because they did have the corresponding permits to be carried out.
According to the organizers, representatives of the municipality were present the day before, Friday, November 3, to revoke their permits. Those in charge already had the operating documents, civil defense and municipal authorization, they assured, but it was suspended and with new observations.
“They arrived on Friday, November 3, at the event site almost at midnight to revoke the permits previously granted with points that were immediately corrected. “We are dismayed by the damage that the municipality is causing to us,” he reads.
Likewise, they stated that in this fair participated more than 22 restaurants and businesses, which have been harmed. However, they indicated that they will proceed to find a solution “in the face of this great injustice committed,” they added.
On the other hand, they say that when the event is canceled it will be rescheduled. This is how they state that the refund of tickets will be effective for those who require it.
Furthermore, they were again shown annoyed by the actions of the municipality and they mentioned that they only seek to “harm” the events.
“We are very sorry that Peru is run by entities that, instead of providing facilities and spaces for an organized, high-quality cultural and gastronomic event like Filo, seek to create difficulties and obstacles to harm a Peruvian company that works more of 500 people per event”, they concluded.
Through social networks, several users were confused, because there was no prior statement. So far, Carlos Bruce’s management has not issued an official letter to provide details of what happened.
“What happened to the Carne y Fuego event? Since 12 am waiting to enter and they give us delays, suppliers outside. The Municipality’s inspection says that they do not have authorization. Please inform if it will be carried out or tickets will be refunded,” wrote a user.
The gastronomic event was going to take place at the Lima Polo Club, but artists and musicians were also invited. Even at the place there were long lines for entry. Among them was the presentation of the group Amen, Dan Dan Dero, We the Lion and others.
