Meanwhile, Galán was emphatic that his administration will not stop the metropolitan train project which is currently being built in Bogotá.

“Our bet is to consolidate Bogotá as an investment hub in different sectors, including infrastructure. For this, it will be essential to strengthen the institutions, improve security and work on coordination between the different actors. “I stated in my government program that I wanted to advance quickly on the section of 100th Street to the north, I don’t see any complex drawbacks to that. That one can advance and that is my bet. But towards the south, I do see problems that need to be solved. As? With an impact on real citizen participation. However, in the accountability of his mayoralty, Claudia López assured that this project had no reverse either and that she would be hired for the section of the 100 towards the center.

“It is a very important work: the Metro viaduct is 24 kilometers, and the green corridor viaduct is 22 (…) It starts at 24th and Seventh Streets and ends at 200th Street. 11 kilometers have already been contracted and the other 11 are still in tender and will be awarded to complete the entire network of works for the first metro line,” held.
