Asturias Court issues international arrest warrant for the former director of the Niemeyer Center in Avilés

The Third Section of the Provincial Court of Asturias has issued a European arrest warrant for the former director of the Óscar Niemeyer Cultural Center, Natalio Grueso. The Court considers the probability that the prisoner Natalio Grueso Rodríguez has left the national territory, which is why an international summons is issued. Grueso was sentenced to a total of eight years in prison for a continuous crime of embezzlement of public funds in competition with a crime of forgery in a commercial document in addition to a corporate crime, within the known as ‘Niemeyer Case’.
