Madrid, Feb 18 (EFE).- Starting this Monday, the National Court is judging an alleged jihadist detained in 2021 who is being trained to carry out attacks as a “lone wolf” by any means, including the manufacture of explosive devices, and who is suspected of being He may also have indoctrinated his twin sons, born in 2009.

The Prosecutor’s Office requests a sentence for him that totals eight years in prison for a crime of self-indoctrination (5 years) and another of glorifying terrorism (3 years), according to his document of provisional conclusions, of 31 pages, to which EFE has had access. .

The accused, KK, 52 years old and of Moroccan origin, was arrested in June 2021 in Santa Olalla (Toledo), and has been in provisional prison since then. He is also listed as an asylum seeker.

In the registry of their digital devices, it was possible to extract “a huge number of terrorist manuals” in which “step by step the way to make weapons, explosives or poisons is shown, thus being able to train for the commission of any terrorist act.” without having any type of prior knowledge, the writing highlights.

Added to this is a “profuse activity in the search for information on electronics, electrical components, weapons, armories, security on social networks, physical training, martial arts, jihadist ideology and lone wolves”, which, according to the prosecutor, ” “denotes a state of search for methods and tools necessary to train for the purpose of carrying out a crime related to terrorism.”

The accused also has basic knowledge in the world of electronics, which would allow him, with the help of these manuals, to “carry out actions with timers” or by remote control.

“There are many files displayed, 48 in total, that show the steps to follow in the preparation of explosive devices, whether for remote explosion or to be worn attached to the body, (bomb vests),” he adds.

The same happens with the use of chemical, bacteriological or radiological elements, “which place them in a position to use them in a terrorist act, since they have acquired the necessary knowledge to do so”, as in the case “of actions with weapons of fire or knives”.

Among the files seized, there is also an incitement to Daesh followers “to commit terrorist acts using large vehicles to do so.”

“In conclusion – highlights the prosecutor -, it can be stated that the concept of a solitary actor, more than ever, is faithful and literal to the accused since he is a person who has been able to complete his Radicalization/Training/Action process without going to or contacting no one and without the need to request help (…) in order to materialize their training and radicalization in the commission of terrorist crimes”.

He also had several profiles on Facebook, two of them with the names of his twin children, although the prosecutor considers that, due to their content, they were “clearly” used by the accused.

However, he considers that, “without being able to prove their express indoctrination, it is evident that it has placed them, at the very least, in danger of violent religious radicalization.”

It is a suspicion that is based on the information found on the devices to which these minors could regularly have access.

Specifically, on the computer that was in the living room of the home, and on which there were links to the primary education websites of the Community Board of Castilla la Mancha, a multitude of “edited” textbook files were found. by the Islamic State”, and many others “that alluded to the recruitment of children to include them in the ranks” of Daesh.

Regarding the textbooks published by the Islamic State, the prosecutor explains that they are “imbued with its violent doctrines to the point that examples of sums in mathematics are exemplified with images of weapons.”

Added to this is that the accused had implemented “a severe education”, as can be seen from telephone conversations in which he reproached his children for “the slightest” non-compliance “with the requirements of abstinence during the period of Ramadan.”

According to the prosecutor, the accused, until the day of his arrest, was carrying out “a clear work of public praise of the most radical jihadist ideologies and, he maintains that, “through the express manifestation of his messages and his virtual activity”, could be taking “the necessary steps to prepare a terrorist attack.” EFE
