The BOE publishes the call for the evaluation tests for the practice of law 2024

The 2024 call for the professional aptitude evaluation test for the legal profession has been published this Tuesday in the Official State Gazette (BOE), whose format will continue to be online, after the “positive experience” of the previous tests. The call complies with the second transitional provision of Royal Decree 64/2023, of February 8, which establishes that law and prosecution training courses started before the entry into force of Law 15/2021, of October 23 , and during the 2022-2023 academic year, they will be governed by the previous regime until its completion, including the corresponding evaluation tests. The call does not contain a limitation on the number of places and is published in the BOE, on the web portal of the Ministry of the Presidency, Justice and Relations with the Courts and on the website of the General Council of Spanish Lawyers. REQUIREMENTS As stated in the BOE, candidates must have a Bachelor of Laws, Degree in Law or equivalent, have completed the training courses and the period of supervised external internships, and not be disqualified from practicing the profession. Registration will be carried out electronically through the Ministry’s electronic headquarters, and the Ministry may be authorized to access the degree and identity data verification systems and participation in the evaluation test will be free. Furthermore, the test may be taken at the applicant’s free choice, in Spanish or in the regional co-official language. The deadline for submitting applications for registration in the evaluation is 15 business days, counting from the day following the publication of this call in the BOE.
