He Atlético de San Luis issued a statement this Friday after the images placed in different parts of the capital of Potosí, accusing a manager and the club of alleged harassmentstating the following:
“Regarding the images disseminated on various traffic routes in the city of San Luis Potosí, we inform you of the following:
1.- An internal investigation was carried out in order to collect pertinent information.
2.- We deny any type of accusation made against our executives in the graphic communications referred to.
“We will maintain constant communication with the competent authorities in the matter, in order to collaborate to clarify any situation that may arise at present,” the statement said.
It is worth mentioning that anonymous banners appeared in the morning and they present images of Jhon Murillo along with condemnatory messages that accuse the Venezuelan player of being a “misogynist, unfaithful and coward” who “abuses his power to violate women.” and “frightens women after being alone.”
Likewise, the operational director, Luis Torres, has been the target of accusations in another banner that bears the club’s shield. In this, you can read the message: “Abuse of the power of Atlético de San Luis and its directors. You intimidate women to cover up your players’ filth.”
On the other hand, neither the player nor the manager involved have given any position on the accusations. Meanwhile, the Potosí team is preparing for its match against the Tigers next Saturday in the game of matchday 16 of the Liga MX that is already beginning to be defined.
San Luis is sixth in the general classification with 22 points and in their last five games they have accumulated four losses and one win. In that position they enter directly into the league, but a defeat could compromise the Potosí team and fall to the Play In. In their last game they lost to América, while their last game will face Santos Laguna.
