Press Secretary of the Head of State Dmitry Peskov indicated that the Russian leader headed to Rostov-on-Don immediately after returning from abroad. On November 9, the Russian leader held talks in Astana with the President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev. According to Peskov, Putin was accompanied by the head of the Russian Ministry of Defense Sergei Shoigu.
