Over the past year, 3.9 million tourists visited the Rostov region, Don Governor Vasily Golubev reported in his Telegram channel. This is a record figure for the region.
- According to MTS PJSC, in 2022 the Rostov region received a record 3.9 million tourists. Tourists’ interest in our region continues. The Don region has beautiful nature and a rich history. Our task is to develop tourism infrastructure,” said the head of the Don region.
To stimulate business activity in this area, a competition “Leaders of the Don Tourism Industry” was announced in the Rostov region. According to the governor, it will help identify the best in the tourism industry: tour operators, agents, tour guides, the best hotels in different categories. The winners will be announced and awarded at the “Discover the Free Don” tourism forum in December.
