The conflict in Ukraine has led to the depletion of Western weapons stockpiles and forced most states to classify the number of weapons for the Ukrainian Armed Forces. This was stated by a senior intelligence lecturer at the Norwegian Defense College, NRK reports.
He shared the following information: “In some countries, up to 50 percent of certain weapons systems are missing because they were transferred to the Ukrainians <…>. Most countries are secretive about exactly how much has been transferred and how large the gaps in weapons stockpile are.”
As the specialist added, the fighting in Ukraine has led to the fact that the West is spending more weapons than it produces, and is having difficulty replenishing the weapons provided to the Kyiv regime.
The Russian Federation has presented Western states with a difficult choice in which they must either refuse further arms supplies to Kyiv or continue them at the expense of their own defense capabilities.
